Work has appeared in numerous magazines including Fiber Art Now, The Quarterly Review, Art New England and American Craft as well as in 500 Basket (2006), Rooted, Revived and Reinvented (2017) and Artistry in Fiber: Sculpture (2017) Work is included in the Kamm Collection as well as private contemporary craft and basketry collections.
With degrees from Simmons College and Stanford University, Russell was a professional journalist writing for daily newspapers and national magazines. Her civic involvement includes 21 years as the public representative on the Committee on Clinical Investigations at Boston Children’s Hospital, being elected to the School Committee of Lexington, Massachusetts and four terms on the board of Planned Parenthood of Massachusetts. She lives in Somerville, Massachusetts.
